SONGS FOR TSUNAMI UNICEF Benefit April 9th 2005

On April 9th 2005 the Harrison Chamber of Commerce and the Town/Village of Harrison once again joined forces and had "downtown" Harrison Rocking & Rolling to the tunes of the 50's & 60's to raise money for UNICEF Tsunami Relief Fund.  The event raised over .00 that one evening and enjoyment was had by all who attended.

SONGS FOR TSUNAMI COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The event took much hard work and dedication by an all volunteer committee.  Dennis & Ada wish to personally thank the following committee members for giving their "all" Robert Galante, Dot DiBuono, Toni Ann DeRenzis, Mark & Andrea Sturino, Doreen Grozinger, Helen Fazio and Nihad Bsharat.

STAR STUDDED STAGE

During the evening all of our "Entertainers" from left to right: DJ Ken Kojak, Elvis, Jimmy Russo, Miss Barbara Harris,  Harrison's DJ Dennis Nardone, young Michael and Randy Silverman do some special songs together while the crowd dances.

PEACE & HARMONY BETWEEN ADA & TONNY

Ada Angarano and longtime friend Tonny Guido enjoy a quick picture together before getting ready to dance the night away.  It was a "Peaceful" event and "Love" was in the air while everyone went back in time for if for only a few hours!

Do 'Blondes" have more fun? I'll bet you can guess just by looking at their great smiles!

DENNIS NARDONE and ADA ANGARANO GIVE THANKS

Harrison Chamber of Commerce President Dennis Nardone and Executive Vice President Ada Angarano give a gracious Thank You to the committee members and Sponsors for helping to make the UNICEF benefit a huge "success".

ELVIS WITH MAYOR STEVE MALFITANO

Elvis (Gene Dinapoli) shares some thoughts about the evening with Harrison's Mayor Steve Malfitano.  Steve did some great singing himself starting off with a beautiful "accapella" version of The Way You Look Tonight (Frank Sinatra song) to his lovely wife Barbara, it was their wedding anniversary - Congratulations you two!

BORN TO BEEEEE WILD!!!!

All joking aside, Dot DiBuono looked great in her 1950's outfit right down to the leather jacket & black shades.

MORE HOT DOGS PLEASE!!!

Hippies Pat Angarano (Ada's hubby) and Magic Carpets owners Andrea & Mark Sturino keep the food lines moving with plenty of hot dogs and PB & J sandwiches (on white bread of course!)

NEW YORK DANCE CO. LOOK OUT FOR WALLFLOWERS!

New York Dance Co. owners keep a watch out for any "wallflowers", sitting was not on the agenda for the evenings event, dance, dance and more dance!!! The girls looked great too...

DANCE TO THE MUSIC

Pat Angarano tries to keep up with some fancy dance moves as his Mom Gladys Angarano didn't even get out of "breath".

ISN'T THIS THE TOWN BOARD MEETING?????

Harrison Councilman Joe Cannella is wondering if he is in the right place or not, the Mayor is here but where are the rest of the Board Members?

SWING YOUR PARTNER< DOESY DOE - WAIT - WRONG DANCE

Lifetime Harrison resident Tony Fazio gets into the swing of things with Nihad Bsharat (Dept of Social Services).  The dance floor was full all night with happy feet!

"FLOWER POWER" "PEACE" "LOVE"

"Hippie" Jennifer Angarano Ricci and "Greaser" hubby Anthony give the "peace" sign to photographer.  Jennifer won the "Best Dressed" 1960's contest  She is the co-president of the Harrison Players Inc, and the oldest daughter of hippies Pat & Ada Angarano.

DAZED & CONFUSED??????

Life time Harrionite Tony Fazio looks a bit dazed & confused about which "Best Dressed" contest he is going to enter.  With "Love Beads" around his ears and "Greaser" shades on his forehead I think he needs needs some advice from wife Helen who was the school nurse for many years..
